Sins (2/3)

  • Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,
    for they have been from of old.
    Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
    according to your steadfast love remember me,
    for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!
  • He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
  • If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
  • Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
    but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
  • In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
  • Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
  • Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
  • Hatred stirs up strife,
    but love covers all offenses.
  • Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.”
  • But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
  • Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
  • Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
  • Take with you words
    and return to the Lord;
    say to him,
    “Take away all iniquity;
    accept what is good,
    and we will pay with bulls
    the vows of our lips.”
  • Blessed is the one
    whose transgression is forgiven,
    whose sin is covered.
  • And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
  • Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
  • That is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
  • But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
  • Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.
  • If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
  • As far as the east is from the west,
    so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
  • And forgive us our debts,
    as we also have forgiven our debtors.
  • Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
  • Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.

No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
