- Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven,
and hath founded his troop in the earth;
he that calleth for the waters of the sea,
and poureth them out upon the face of the earth:
The Lord is his name. - Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
- He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
- For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
- And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever. - The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power,
and will not at all acquit the wicked:
the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation. - The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
- And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
- For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
- But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
- The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.Next verse!With image
