- The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- The memory of the just is blessed:
but the name of the wicked shall rot. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
- And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
- I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- The vine is dried up,
and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree,
the palm tree also,
and the apple tree,
even all the trees of the field, are withered:
because joy is withered away
from the sons of men. - The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
- Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
- I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
- The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.
Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.Next verse!With image
