- The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. - The memory of the just is blessed:
but the name of the wicked shall rot. - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
- And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
- The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
- The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
- Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
- I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - The vine is dried up,
and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree,
the palm tree also,
and the apple tree,
even all the trees of the field, are withered:
because joy is withered away
from the sons of men. - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
- Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
- I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee.Next verse!With image
