- Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Yahweh your God commanded you. You shall labor six days, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God, in which you shall not do any work— neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
- You will show me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.
In your right hand there are pleasures forever more. - But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

- Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
- Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
- Guide me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation.
I wait for you all day long. - Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions. - In you, Yahweh, I take refuge.
Let me never be disappointed.
Deliver me in your righteousness. - If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for with them, you have revived me. - Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me.
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever.
Don’t forsake the works of your own hands. - I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go.
I will counsel you with my eye on you. - Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.
- But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.
- Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
- I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions,
and, as a cloud, your sins.
Return to me, for I have redeemed you. - “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be enough room for.”
- May he grant you your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all your counsel. - And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
- Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still.
