Chinese (traditional)- Very truly, I tell you, servants are not greater than their master, nor are messengers greater than the one who sent them.
- Now a mediator involves more than one party; but God is one.
- Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
- A capable wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels. - For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness. - Better is a little with righteousness
than large income with injustice. - No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to put confidence in mortals. - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
- To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
- What is desirable in a person is loyalty,
and it is better to be poor than a liar. - Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble with it. - Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you. - Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
- Some friends play at friendship
but a true friend sticks closer than one's nearest kin. - How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.
- Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
- Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?
- Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.
- Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
