Thee (2/4)

  • Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
  • When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
  • They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
  • Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
  • Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
  • Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
  • Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
  • The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
    He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.
  • You are altogether beautiful, my darling;
    there is no flaw in you.
  • Keep me safe, my God,
    for in you I take refuge.
  • For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
  • Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
  • Those who know your name trust in you,
    for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.
  • Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
    A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
  • There is no one holy like the Lord;
    there is no one besides you;
    there is no Rock like our God.
  • Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.
  • If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.
  • Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
  • He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
  • If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
  • For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.
  • I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
    You have given me wisdom and power,
    you have made known to me what we asked of you,
    you have made known to us the dream of the king.
  • When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
    and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
    When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.
  • Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws,
    we wait for you;
    your name and renown
    are the desire of our hearts.

Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
