Chinese (traditional)- Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.
- The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I shall lack.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me to tranquil streams. - This is the message
that we have heard from him
and that we declare to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness at all in him. - There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor?
- Therefore, strive to be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.
- So today acknowledge it and take it to heart that the Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other.
- Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming.
- Remember that you were once a slave in the land of Egypt. The Lord, your God, brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore, the Lord, your God, has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
- Now in regard to the eating of meat sacrificed to idols, we know that idols are nothing in the world and that there is only one God.
- If anyone wishes to serve me,
he must follow me.
Where I am,
there also will my servant be.
If anyone serves me,
my Father will honor that person. - Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you.
- The Lord is my portion, I say to myself;
therefore, I will place my hope in him. - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.
- Even though the fig tree does not blossom
and there is no fruit on the vines,
even though the olive crop will fail
and the orchards will yield no food,
even though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation. - For his anger lasts for only a moment,
while his goodwill endures for a lifetime.
Weeping may last throughout the night,
but at daybreak there is rejoicing. - The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
- Blessed is the man whom God reproves.
Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. - In love there is no fear;
indeed, perfect love casts out fear,
because fear has to do with punishment,
and whoever fears
has not yet achieved perfection in love. - Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him.
- Therefore, we fasted and prayed to God to grant us a safe journey, and he answered our prayer.
- Who has performed these deeds and accomplished this?
Who has summoned the nations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am the first,
and I will be there with the last. - Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing.
- In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.
- Every good act of giving and every perfect gift are from above, coming down from the Father of all light. With him there is no alteration or shadow caused by change.
- Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.
And I heard a loud voice proclaim from the throne:
“Behold, God’s dwelling is with mankind;
he will dwell with them.
They will be his people,
and he will be their God,
God-with-them.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes,
and there will no longer be death.
Neither will there be any mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order has passed away.”May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us. Blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and whose hope is the Lord.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that spreads out its roots to the stream.
When the heat comes, it does not fear;
its leaves stay green.
It is not concerned in a year of drought,
and it never fails to bear fruit.Next verse!With image
