Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive.
All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands.As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return, To go as he came; And he shall take nothing from his labor Which he may carry away in his hand.
Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to the inmost parts.The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles, And they go down into the inmost body.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned.And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.
Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.
So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.
Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man’s sake.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.
Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.

“On the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him.”“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.”
