- From that time, Jesus began to preach, and to say, “Repent! For the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

- Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.
- There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
- Glory to God in the highest,
on earth peace, good will toward men. - For it is written,
“‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘to me every knee will bow.
Every tongue will confess to God.’” - Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all! In your hand is power and might! It is in your hand to make great, and to give strength to all!
- But Jesus said, “Allow the little children, and don’t forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.”
- For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don’t have.
- Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path. - For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. - “If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.”
- How I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house.
- Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
- Yahweh commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear Yahweh our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are today.
- Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.
- He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
