- The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills. - When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”

- A fool’s lips enter into contention,
And his mouth calls for blows. - Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a reproach to any people. - For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
- A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame. - Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
- For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
- One who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
Even his prayer is an abomination. - For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
- A wise son makes a glad father,
But a foolish son is the grief of his mother. - The memory of the righteous is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” - And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
- The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem. - Set me as a seal upon your heart,
As a seal upon your arm;
For love is as strong as death,
Jealousy as cruel as the grave;
Its flames are flames of fire,
A most vehement flame. - There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.
