Trust in god (4/4)

  • And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
  • O God, you are my God, I seek you,
    my soul thirsts for you;
    my flesh faints for you,
    as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
  • For a day in your courts is better
    than a thousand elsewhere.
    I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than live in the tents of wickedness.
  • God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
  • While Peter was kept in prison, the church prayed fervently to God for him.
  • Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
  • So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.
  • Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
  • God gives the desolate a home to live in;
    he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
    but the rebellious live in a parched land.
  • And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
  • Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
    for you are the God of my salvation;
    for you I wait all day long.
  • And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
  • For nothing will be impossible with God.
  • Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should not be done.
  • But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
  • How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?
  • I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.
  • Therefore keep the commandments of the Lord your God, by walking in his ways and by fearing him.
  • So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
  • Just so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
  • When you make a vow to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill what you vow.
  • God chose what is low and despised in the world, things that are not, to reduce to nothing things that are, so that no one might boast in the presence of God.
  • Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
  • For there is one God; there is also one mediator between God and humankind, Christ Jesus, himself human.
