- Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires. - Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws;
our heart’s desire is to glorify your name. - In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God. - Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness
while I am here in the land of the living. - Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
- The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it. - For the word of the Lord holds true,
and we can trust everything he does. - Our help is from the Lord,

- So be strong and courageous,
all you who put your hope in the Lord! - Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly. - Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. - I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth.
- I have rejoiced in your laws
as much as in riches. - In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.
- Keep me safe, O God,
for I have come to you for refuge. - Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. - I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”
- Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever. - Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased. - How great is the goodness
you have stored up for those who fear you.
You lavish it on those who come to you for protection,
blessing them before the watching world. - I will teach you wisdom’s ways
and lead you in straight paths. - So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
