Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Understanding'
- Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion. - Whoever gets sense loves his own soul;
he who keeps understanding will discover good. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple. - Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
- Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable. - Get wisdom; get insight;
do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever you get, get insight. - And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
- Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
- Do not toil to acquire wealth;
be discerning enough to desist. - Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.
- Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man. - Understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.
- House and wealth are inherited from fathers,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.A fool despises his father's instruction,
but whoever heeds reproof is prudent. But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.Next verse!With image
