- For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens.
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name goes all the glory
for your unfailing love and faithfulness. - For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
- The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known. - Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’
- The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
- For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - I hear the tumult of the raging seas
as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. - I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
- But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
- We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
- I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.
- Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path. - Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything
until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets. - So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
- In those days when you pray, I will listen.
- I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
- Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
- But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
- Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
- May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love.
- So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.
- Come and listen to my counsel.
I’ll share my heart with you
and make you wise. - Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?”
- For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.May the Lord our God be with us as he was with our ancestors; may he never leave us or abandon us. Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love
will find life, righteousness, and honor.Next verse! With image
