We are here for you (2/4)

  • For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
  • If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
  • If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
  • My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
  • But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
  • In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
  • You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.
  • Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
  • We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
  • You, God, are my God,
    earnestly I seek you;
    I thirst for you,
    my whole being longs for you,
    in a dry and parched land
    where there is no water.
  • “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
  • Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,
    I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.
  • But in your great mercy you did not put an end to them or abandon them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
  • For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
  • For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
  • Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
    and because I love you,
    I will give people in exchange for you,
    nations in exchange for your life.
  • And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
  • Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.
  • To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
  • May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
  • He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
  • But I will sing of your strength,
    in the morning I will sing of your love;
    for you are my fortress,
    my refuge in times of trouble.
  • Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
  • There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
  • You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
    abounding in love to all who call to you.

The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.Next verse!With image
