The important thing is for the Lord to commend them.“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not those who commend themselves that are approved, but those whom the Lord commends.
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.Indeed, all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
Who has done such mighty deeds, summoning each new generation from the beginning of time? It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last. I alone am he.Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am first, and will be with the last.
