Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. | He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. |
For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” | For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.” |
You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. | You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” | For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” |
Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them. | Who is wise, that he may understand these things?
