Then Peter asked, “Ananias, why has Satan so gained control of your heart that you lied to the Holy Spirit and retained part of the sale price of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not belong to you? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds yours? What caused you to contrive this scheme? You have lied not to men but to God.” | But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” |
And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him. | And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him. |
Through him all things came into existence, and without him there was nothing. That which came to be. | All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. |
I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. | These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. |
The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer. | But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. |
For our eyes are fixed not on what is seen but rather on that which cannot be seen. What is visible is transitory; what is invisible is eternal. | While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. |
Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” | But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” |
Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. | But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. |
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with your whole heart, considering the great things he has done for you. | Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you. |
That is why you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, and they devote themselves to this service. | For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. |
Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.” | But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” |
O Lord, you are my God. I will exalt you and praise your name, for you have accomplished wonderful things, formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. | O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. |
But who am I, and what are your people, that we should be able to do this? All things belong to you, and everything that we have given you is from your hand. | But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You. |
What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.” | So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.” |
Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done. | Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will. |
We know that God makes all things work together for good for those who love him and who are called according to his purpose. | And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. |
The one who calls you is faithful, and he will accomplish this. | He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. |
Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things. | Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. |
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. | These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. |
Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware. | Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. |
The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! | He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! |
Finally, brethren, let your minds be filled with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, whatever is worthy of praise. | Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. |
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. | For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. |
He reveals deep and hidden mysteries and knows what lies in the darkness, for light dwells with him. | He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him. |
