- Do not weary yourself to gain wealth;
Stop dwelling on it. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones. - For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
- The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. - For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner in the present age.
