- The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
and whatever else you get, get insight. - When pride comes, then comes disgrace;
but wisdom is with the humble. - Happy are those who find wisdom,
and those who get understanding. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - I have taught you the way of wisdom;
I have led you in the paths of uprightness. - By insolence the heedless make strife,
but wisdom is with those who take advice. - For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and those who increase knowledge increase sorrow. - To get wisdom is to love oneself;
to keep understanding is to prosper. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
and humility goes before honor. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. - So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
he is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in wisdom. - If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever. - Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom.
- Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly. - O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
- I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.
- But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
- To you, O God of my ancestors,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and power,
and have now revealed to me what we asked of you,
for you have revealed to us what the king ordered.
Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.Next verse!With image
