Wisdom (2/2)

Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise.Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
