Bible Verses about 'Word in your mouth'
- In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God. - Too much talk leads to sin.
Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. - Those who control their tongue will have a long life;
opening your mouth can ruin everything. - But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,
‘People do not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” - I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - For the Lord grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born. - Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
- And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!
- The lips of the godly speak helpful words,
but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words. - Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path. - That is why I can never stop praising you;
I declare your glory all day long. - You are my refuge and my shield;
your word is my source of hope. - May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - How can a young person stay pure?
By obeying your word. - For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
- So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

so I will not be overcome by evil. - I am counting on the Lord;
yes, I am counting on him.
I have put my hope in his word. - Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels;
they are asking for a beating. - Let your favor shine on your servant.

as much as in riches. - It is the same with my word.

It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it. - If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

praising him as I spoke. - Avoid all perverse talk;
stay away from corrupt speech. - I have not departed from his commands,
but have treasured his words more than daily food. - The godly are showered with blessings;
the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions. - Worry weighs a person down;
an encouraging word cheers a person up. - For the word of the Lord holds true,
and we can trust everything he does. - And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?

snatching them from the door of death. - A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! - Every word of God proves true.
