- The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom,
And before honor comes humility. - Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face continually. - The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
And He delights in his way. - ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord;
‘I will not look at you in anger.
For I am gracious,’ declares the Lord;
‘I will not be angry forever.’ - Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near. - For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Rescue my soul, Lord, from lying lips,
From a deceitful tongue. - The Lord is for me; I will not fear;
What can man do to me? - Bless the Lord, my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name. - The Lord makes poor and rich;
He humbles, He also exalts. - So the Lord commanded us to follow all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our own good always and for our survival, as it is today.
- For You light my lamp;
The Lord my God illumines my darkness. - The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
And kind in all His works. - Salvation belongs to the Lord;
May Your blessing be upon Your people! Selah - Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us,
Just as we have waited for You. - It is better to take refuge in the Lord
Than to trust in people. - Trust in the Lord and do good;
Live in the land and cultivate faithfulness. - For one who finds me finds life,
And obtains favor from the Lord. - Then the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not reach out and put your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord.
- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I wait for Him.” - Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who wait for the Lord. - So you shall keep My commandments, and do them; I am the Lord.
- I sought the Lord and He answered me,
And rescued me from all my fears. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth. - Come, let’s worship and bow down,
Let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker.
