  • Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
  • The liberal soul shall be made fat.
    He who waters shall be watered also himself.
  • That which makes a man to be desired is his kindness.
    A poor man is better than a liar.
  • If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.
  • That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
  • House and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
    but a prudent wife is from Yahweh.
  • So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God, being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone.
  • One man esteems one day as more important. Another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.
  • Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
  • As knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine, according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
  • Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also had been baptized and was praying. The sky was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form like a dove on him; and a voice came out of the sky, saying “You are my beloved Son. In you I am well pleased.”
  • Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
  • Since you have been precious and honored in my sight,
    and I have loved you,
    therefore I will give people in your place,
    and nations instead of your life.
  • He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.”
  • A cheerful heart makes good medicine,
    but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
  • Iron sharpens iron;
    so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance.
  • Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty! For all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, Yahweh, and you are exalted as head above all.
  • Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth.
    How good is a word at the right time!
  • “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.
  • You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.
  • A perverse man stirs up strife.
    A whisperer separates close friends.
  • Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.
  • There is a way which seems right to a man,
    but in the end it leads to death.
  • Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses.
  • Let no one therefore judge you in eating or drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day, which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s.
