| But as for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and therefore you do not need anyone to teach you. This same anointing teaches you everything and is true and not false, so abide in him just as he taught you. | But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. |

Through it you are also being saved, provided that you are holding fast to what I proclaimed to you. If not, then you have believed in vain. | Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. |
| If you would seriously consider my reproof, I would pour out my thoughts to you and make my precepts known to you. | Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. |
