- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
- Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
- Therefore also now, saith the Lord,
turn ye even to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. - Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - Let my mouth be filled with thy praise
and with thy honour all the day. - For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
- Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. - Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. - Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established. - Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts:
all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. - My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
- For thy mercy is great unto the heavens,
and thy truth unto the clouds. - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths. - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
- Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. - Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
- For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
- Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,
and marrow to thy bones.
A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?Next verse! With image
