Blood of Jesus (3/4)

  • Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.
  • Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus.
  • But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.
  • But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried out,
    “If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink.”
  • They answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, and so too will your household.”
  • I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him.
  • For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
  • It was for this purpose that he called you through our gospel so that you might come to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”
  • The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
    Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
  • For there is one God,
and there is one mediator between God and man,
    Christ Jesus, himself a man.
  • And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
  • Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen.
  • I press on toward the finishing line to win the heavenly prize to which God has called me in Christ Jesus.
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
  • We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
  • Jesus answered them,
“I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
  • Rejoice always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
  • “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
    so I send you.”
  • For I resolved that, while I was with you, I would know nothing except Jesus Christ—and him crucified.
  • Jesus then said,
    “I will remain with you
only for a short time longer,
    and then I shall return
    to him who sent me.”
  • And eternal life is this:
    to know you,
    the only true God,
and the one you have sent,
    Jesus Christ.
  • Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
    except through me.”
  • Since in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor lack of circumcision is worth anything. All that matters is faith expressing itself through love.

Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens.

Bible verse of the day

For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

And thus we can have confidence in him
that if we ask anything
that is in accordance with his will,
he hears us.
