- Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I am going to heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
- Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out with his hand, and take fruit also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken.
- For the customs of the peoples are futile;
For it is wood cut from the forest,
The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool.
They decorate the idol with silver and gold;
They fasten it with nails and hammers
So that it will not totter.
They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
And they cannot speak;
They must be carried,
Because they cannot walk!
Do not fear them,
For they can do no harm,
Nor can they do any good. - Now Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was betrothed to him, and was pregnant.

He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed. - Like a city that is broken into and without walls
So is a person who has no self-control over his spirit. - For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord anointed me
To bring good news to the humble;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release to captives
And freedom to prisoners. - But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.
- God makes a home for the lonely;
He leads out the prisoners into prosperity,
Only the rebellious live in parched lands. - By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him.
- But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
- But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
- I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.
- Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?
- He will again take pity on us;
He will trample on our wrongdoings.
Yes, You will cast all their sins
Into the depths of the sea. - For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus.
- Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”
- And the insignificant things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no human may boast before God.
