- But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
- Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!
- And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet.
- Then keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies! - “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” - Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

and make all your plans succeed. - I take joy in doing your will, my God,

Return to the Lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He is eager to relent and not punish. - Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. - Commit your actions to the Lord,
and your plans will succeed. - Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!”
- Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the Lord your God has commanded you. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys and other livestock, and any foreigners living among you. All your male and female servants must rest as you do.
- For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
- You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.
- Show me the right path, O Lord;
point out the road for me to follow. - For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. - My son, obey your father’s commands,
and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. - Victory comes from you, O Lord.
May you bless your people. - Lord, don’t hold back your tender mercies from me.
Let your unfailing love and faithfulness always protect me. - Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
- For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens.
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name goes all the glory
for your unfailing love and faithfulness.
