- One who despairs should have the support of his friends

because I am going to the Father. - When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt.
- Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.
- Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.
- Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth,
and cease even to think about it. - I am the true vine,
and my Father is the vinegrower.
He removes every branch
that does not bear fruit,
and every branch that does
he prunes to make it bear even more. - Beloved, I pray that everything is going well with you and that your bodily health is equal to that of your soul.
- Even should my heart and my flesh fail,
God is the rock of my heart
and my portion forever. - A man is joyful when he utters apt answers,
and even more satisfying is a word in season. - In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works.
