And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
For with God nothing shall be impossible.For no word from God will ever fail.

Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.Keep me safe, my God, for in you I take refuge.
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.
For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
