Giving to the needy (2/4)

  • Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
  • For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
  • Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
    Call upon His name;
    Make known His deeds among the peoples!
  • Sing to the Lord,
    For He has done excellent things;
    This is known in all the earth.
  • The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
    The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
  • But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
  • But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
  • So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
  • Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”
  • For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.
  • You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
  • I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
    From whence comes my help?
    My help comes from the Lord,
    Who made heaven and earth.
  • Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
  • For so the Lord has commanded us:
    ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles,
    That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’
  • Therefore I will look to the Lord;
    I will wait for the God of my salvation;
    My God will hear me.
  • So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
  • But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
  • The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime,
    And in the night His song shall be with me—
    A prayer to the God of my life.
  • “Now therefore,” he said, “put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord God of Israel.”
  • Salvation belongs to the Lord.
    Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah
  • For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
  • For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens,
    And Your truth unto the clouds.
  • For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
    And His ears are open to their prayers;
    But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
  • Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
  • And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.

Random Bible Verse

Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
