- As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God. - Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’
- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth. - For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined. - For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
- God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
- For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.
- Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me. - For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
Let Your glory be above all the earth. - If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
- The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever. - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
- I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever. - The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
- What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
Cause Your face to shine,
And we shall be saved! - As free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.
- Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
- As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.
- Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?
- Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
