- By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
- Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established. - Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

- For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
- The rich rules over the poor,
And the borrower is servant to the lender. - To do righteousness and justice
Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The entrance of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple. - But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
- You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
- Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life.
- Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning. - But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
- So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
- The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
