- But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.

For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.” - The words of the godly are like sterling silver;
the heart of a fool is worthless. - In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.

and protects those who are faithful to him. - Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
for our hope is in you alone. - The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
- Do what is good and run from evil
so that you may live!
Then the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies will be your helper,
just as you have claimed. - Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go. - For you, a thousand years are as a passing day,
as brief as a few night hours. - Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
- But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

For the Lord corrects those he loves,
just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. - I have given them to you for food, just as I have given you grain and vegetables. But you must never eat any meat that still has the lifeblood in it.
- Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
- Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
- For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.
- I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me.
- We have happy memories of the godly,
but the name of a wicked person rots away. - As a face is reflected in water,
so the heart reflects the real person. - Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.
- Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”
- Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
