- Nevertheless, do not rejoice in the knowledge that the spirits are subject to you. Rejoice rather that your names are inscribed in heaven.
- O Lord, all my longing is known to you,
and my sighs are not hidden from you. - I will, thereby, display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known to many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

I would pour out my thoughts to you
and make my precepts known to you. - Therefore, my beloved brethren, stand firm and immovable, devoting yourselves completely to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
- For you know that the testing of your faith will develop perseverance.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all. - Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them can fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Even the hairs on your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth far more than any number of sparrows.
- Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming.
- This is how everyone will know
that you are my disciples:
if you love one another. - But I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the end he will stand upon the dust. - And you will say on that day:
Give thanks to the Lord,
invoke his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted. - To these God chose to make known how rich is the priceless glory that this mystery brings to the Gentiles—Christ in you, your hope of glory.
