- The young lions suffer want and hunger,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. - Do not deprive one another except perhaps by agreement for a set time, to devote yourselves to prayer, and then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
- If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.
- When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but the prudent are restrained in speech. - Without counsel, plans go wrong,
but with many advisers they succeed. - The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters. - Like a city breached, without walls,
is one who lacks self-control. - Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.
- Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
- For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.
- For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret, but worldly grief produces death.
See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
