- To those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

- Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
- My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
- “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” - Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
- Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
- With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
- For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
- Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
