- My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
- Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
- And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.
- You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
- “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
- By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
- Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
- For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
- Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
- With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
- Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
- And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
- On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.A fool despises his father's instruction,
but whoever heeds reproof is prudent. But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
