- But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
- Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you. - For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.
- For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
- Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce. - His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
- The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him,
we will also live with him. - Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
- Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover him with favor as with a shield. - Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life.
- If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
- So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all the day. - For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
- Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
- The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
- Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life;
he who despises his ways will die. - Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—” therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken.
- But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
A fool despises his father's instruction,
but whoever heeds reproof is prudent. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.Next verse!With image
