- For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

He does not retain His anger forever,
Because He delights in mercy. - The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands. - In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God. - Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin. - In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me? - Therefore I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me. - If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
- Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
- Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise. - No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
- Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God. - But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
