- You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
- Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness. - Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good. - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me. - Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. - For no word from God will ever fail.
- But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me. - Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy. - Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.
- The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands. - In God, whose word I praise—
in God I trust and am not afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
I wait for God my Savior;
my God will hear me. - Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
blot out my transgressions.
Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin. - Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge. - Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise. - Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life. - No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
- My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge. - Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
- But I will sing of your strength,
in the morning I will sing of your love;
for you are my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble.
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
