For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Before destruction a man's heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.
But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!

He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
