Chinese (traditional)- Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
- No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
- How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.
- No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- The blessing of the Lord brings wealth,
without painful toil for it. - When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow.
- Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.
- This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
- In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
- The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.
- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
- God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.
- For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. - Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
- No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
- Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
- However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him.
You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.Next verse!With image
