Only (3/4)

  • But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
  • Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    All the days of my life;
    And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    Forever.
  • Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
  • But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
  • It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
    Since any fool can start a quarrel.
  • He has shown you, O man, what is good;
    And what does the Lord require of you
    But to do justly,
    To love mercy,
    And to walk humbly with your God?
  • For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
  • Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!
  • For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
  • For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.
  • Do not envy the oppressor,
    And choose none of his ways;
    For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord,
    But His secret counsel is with the upright.
  • A fool despises his father’s instruction,
    But he who receives correction is prudent.
  • That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
  • Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
  • Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
  • But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
  • We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other.
  • For in much wisdom is much grief,
    And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
  • And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?
  • And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
  • You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
  • Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers,
    But a prudent wife is from the Lord.
  • Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
    Cause Your face to shine,
    And we shall be saved!
  • Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”
    But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
    And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
  • So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Random Bible Verse

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
