  • For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
  • Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
  • And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.
  • Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
  • But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
  • He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
  • And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
  • For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
  • For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
  • To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
  • But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
  • For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
  • Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
  • And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
  • Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
  • And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
  • Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
  • Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
  • For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
  • Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord:
O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
  • In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
  • When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
  • Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
  • But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
  • And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.Next verse! With image
