- He was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
- So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
- Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit

- To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
- How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who brings good news,
who announces salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
- For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.
- Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.
- And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
- Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens,
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea,
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. - Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good repute
in the sight of God and of people. - Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
- Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
- God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.”
- But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
- I will make them and the region around my hill a blessing; and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.
- Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing,
“To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!” - To this day I have had help from God, and so I stand here, testifying to both small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would take place: that the Messiah must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
- They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my special possession on the day when I act, and I will spare them as parents spare their children who serve them.
