Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control. | He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. |
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. | For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |

For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. | For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. |
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. | Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. |
