- Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
- Without counsel plans fail,
but with many advisers they succeed. - Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

let him seek peace and pursue it.” - With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - A fool's lips walk into a fight,
and his mouth invites a beating. - In all toil there is profit,
but mere talk tends only to poverty. - Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse. - And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.
- It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
but every fool will be quarreling. - And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
- Put away from you crooked speech,
and put devious talk far from you. - Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret.
- Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. - The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
the heart of the wicked is of little worth.
