- Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.

Lead me in the land of uprightness. - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. - For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you. - But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
- Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you didn’t make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- You will show me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.
In your right hand there are pleasures forever more. - Jesus said to him, “Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
- Guide me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation.
I wait for you all day long. - Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble. For thus you will be richly supplied with the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
- Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
- I will never forget your precepts,
for with them, you have revived me. - You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- In you, Yahweh, I take refuge.
Let me never be disappointed.
Deliver me in your righteousness. - Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions. - Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
- Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me.
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever.
Don’t forsake the works of your own hands. - I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go.
I will counsel you with my eye on you. - Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.
- Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
- May he grant you your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all your counsel. - But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.
- I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions,
and, as a cloud, your sins.
Return to me, for I have redeemed you.
