- I give you a new commandment:
love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
so you should also love one another. - The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord shine his face upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace. - Therefore, if the Son sets you free,
you then will truly be free. - But as for you,
the anointing you received from him
remains in you,
and therefore you do not need anyone
to teach you.
This same anointing
teaches you everything
and is true and not false,
so abide in him just as he taught you. - You did not choose me.
Rather, I chose you.
And I appointed you
to go out and bear fruit,
fruit that will remain,
so that the Father may give you
whatever you ask him in my name. - And now, brethren, I want to remind you of the gospel I proclaimed to you, which you received and in which you stand firm. Through it you are also being saved, provided that you are holding fast to what I proclaimed to you. If not, then you have believed in vain.
- Let what you heard from the beginning
remain in you.
If what you heard from the beginning
remains in you,
then you will remain in the Son
and in the Father. - If you would seriously consider my reproof,
I would pour out my thoughts to you
and make my precepts known to you. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.
- You have already been cleansed
by the word I have spoken to you. - Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
- The Lord will battle for you. Be calm!
- Now who is going to harm you if you are eager to do what is right?
- When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
nor will the waters engulf you.
When you walk through fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not consume you. - If you know me,
then you will know my Father also.
From now on you do know him.
You have seen him. - Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- If you love me,
you will keep my commandments. - “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Whatever you ask for in faith-filled prayer, you will receive.
- Does God give you the Spirit and work mighty deeds among you because you have kept the Law or because you believed what you have heard?
- However, the Lord is faithful. He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth:
it is better for you that I depart.
For if I do not go away,
the Advocate will not come to you,
whereas if I go,
I will send him to you. - And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - You will not add to what I command you, nor will you take away from it, so that you might observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, that I am giving you.
Even when you reach old age
I will still be the same.
Even when your hair is gray,
I will still carry you.
I have made you and I will uphold you;
I will carry you and save you.No one can serve two masters. For you will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him.Next verse! With image
